SABS Certification: Some manufacturers want to put the local certification logo on their products to improve the local competitiveness of their products and the acceptance of local people. If you want to use the South African certification logo for imported products from South Africa, you need to apply for certification separately, which is called SABS Mark Certification.
SABS Mark Certification certification is a voluntary certification in the local area and is not mandatory. Its application requirements are relatively strict and the application fee is extremely high.
To apply for SABS Mark Certification, the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) must arrange factory inspection and testing to obtain the certificate.
There are two annual reviews after obtaining the certificate.
Only after passing this certification can the South African local certification logo be marked on the product.
