Israel is one of the few countries whose approval procedure is importer-based. This means that only companies located in the country can apply for a type approval or the approval certificate is issued to the local importer. The authorities in Israel are strongly oriented towards the European requirements:
– The Ministry of Communication (MoC) is a governmental authority that issues the radio certificate. The validity varies and also the label requirements vary and are specified on each certificate.
– The Ministry of Economy and Industry (MoE) and the Standards Instituion of Israel (SII) are the state authorities that issue the certificates for electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility.
